Professional Development

Our faculty will receive between 38 - 42 hours of in-house professional development led by our technology team throughout the school year. Our professional development plan ensures our teachers are trained on various topics within instructional technology and how to apply it in a meaningful & authentic manner within the classroom. Workshops planned for the 2012 - 2013 school year include: Getting Started, Productivity Applications, Using iPads for Assessment, Creating a Paperless Classroom  and more.

Our students will receive a "Getting Started" workshop during their orientation every August and throughout the year will be offered individual training and group workshops to ensure students are maximizing their use of the devices, the orientation includes:

     1) iPad Basics
     2) Productivity Apps
     3) Staying Organized
     4) Google Docs/Box
     5) Privacy in Social Media
     6) Digital Citizenship
     and more.

Our parents play a big part in our technology initiative. When our students go home we want our parents to be empowered and informed in order to assist their children and join the technology conversation. To accomplish this we will be providing customized workshops at least once a quarter, topics include:

     1) Privacy in Social Media
     2) Parental Control: iPads
     3) Digital Parenting
